About the role
As a Clinical Lead, you will be a member of a clinical team that is instrumental in the development and growth of the UK’s leading care marketplace. The clinical team sits across and supports all of the different teams: Sales, Customer Success, Product. Marketing and Carer Recruitment.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Using your clinical skills and knowledge you will work closely with the Customer Success/Sales teams and be responsible for critically reviewing Care Requests (similar to a care plan) to assess the suitability of a Care Recipient to receive support from a self-employed carer.
- Identify possible safeguarding enquiries and ensure serious safeguarding incidents are reported, recorded and escalated in accordance with Elder Safeguarding policy and with regulatory bodies.
- Support all activities necessary to ensure that Elder meets responsibilities within their Introductory status.
- To ensure compliance with relevant legislation, company policies and care standards by reviewing documentation including Right to Work, DBS, PVG and other compliance records and following up to maintain up-to-date compliance.
- To lead Quality Assurance checks that reviews carer’s ongoing eligibility to use the Elder platform, in line with Elder’s Expected Carer Standards.
- To develop, promote and manage effective working relationships with teams internally to provide education and training around clinical issues, and use your clinical knowledge and experience to support your colleagues in whatever capacity is required.
- To be responsible for ensuring that all data and information collected both paper based and electronic is stored, shared or disposed of in accordance with best practice and legislation related to data protection
- Record and maintain concise and accurate records of reviews and other contacts with customers, self-employed carers and other professionals in accordance with Elder’s IT databases.
- Support and advise on the recruitment of self employed carers, working closely with the Carer Recruitment team to maintain carer standards.
- To attend all relevant meetings as deemed necessary by the Head of Clinical and Elder.
Essential
- Actively Registered Nurse
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a clinical field (Adult Nursing, Mental Health Nursing and Learning Disabilities Nurse) or able to demonstrate equivalent experience of working at this level
- Must demonstrate advanced specialist knowledge that meets the training and development requirements of the complex nature of the adult social care sector
- Evidence of continual professional development
- Evidence of continual training/learning within the subject matter field
- Demonstrate experience of the ability to work autonomously, initiating and organising workloads, delegating appropriately, responding to changing priorities and meeting tight deadlines
- Demonstrate the ability to make difficult decisions autonomously
- Demonstrate a high attention to detail and the ability to implement and enforce best practice
- Ability to manage a frequently changing workload and business needs
- Ability to synthesise complex information
- A high level of computer literacy
- Experience in care of the elderly
- Good knowledge of clinical governance and regulatory processes
- Excellent relationship-building skills
- Significant experience with safeguarding, protection, risk assessment and use of risk management skills
