The predicted salary is between 20000 - 30000 £ per year.

1. To support and participate in the work of the Nursing Home and, under the direction of the Registered Nurse/SCP in the delivery of residents\’ care using a Person-Centred approach
2. To supervise CSW1 in carrying out range of duties in giving personal care responding to their physical, mental and spiritual needs.
3. Be a mentor and assist in induction of new staff.
4. Be familiar on residents personalised care plan, care assessment, medical condition, and
allergies.
3. To help care for residents who are terminally ill.
4. To monitor residents\’ conditions and report any changes to Registered Nurses/SCP as necessary.
5. To assist in simple dressing under the direction of RN/SCP.
6. To take resident weight monthly and report to the RN/SCP any weight loss.
7. Following training and competency, staff to assist in taking monthly vital signs and refer any problem to the RN/SCP.
8. To monitor residents\’ nutritional and dietary requirements and report to the RN/SCP
9. Dealing with resident\’s property in a careful and respectful way.
10. To help with the organisation of social activities and to participate in them. Help to promote residents\’ physical and mental well-being. To accompany residents on community visits where required and as duty rotas permit.
11. To help serve food and drinks, assisting residents with eating and drinking. To prepare light meals and snacks and liaison with kitchen staff as necessary. To help clear up the dining room after meals, ensuring all dirty cutlery, crockery and utensils are returned to the kitchen.
12. To participate in training activities/courses including fire lectures etc as directed by senior staff.
13. To help maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home with due regard to appropriate food hygiene and health and safety regulations. To report all accidents to RN/ SCP. Ensure to always use equipment appropriately and correctly. Any faults/failures on discovery must be reported to the maintenance person and note on the hazards book.
14. To help maintain cleanliness of equipment i.e. wheelchairs, hoist, mattress, beds.
15. To ensure nursing supplies are stored carefully and stocks are use responsibly.
16. Be familiar with and comply with all company policies and procedures.
17. To maintain confidentiality and have regard for the residents\’ privacy and dignity.
18. To answer the telephone in a professional manner.
19. Document all care given onto the epicare/touchcare system.
20. Work within the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Assistants.
21. Understand your role and responsibilities with regard to the protection of vulnerable adults.
22. Attend staff and floor meetings.
23. Participate in clinical supervision sessions and appraisals.
24. Be aware of GDPR responsibilities.
25. Awareness and understanding of Infection Prevention guidelines. i.e handwashing, use of PPE, disposal of soiled linens and general rubbish
