Purpose of Role:
Support development of the inventory control strategy, with the aim of improving inventory accuracy, reducing cost and maximising operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage, control and undertake perpetual inventory activities/inventory accuracy checks and ensure integrity/accuracy of the stock management systems.
• Investigate and complete root cause analysis on stock inaccuracies; where required work constructively with relevant parties to implement effective countermeasures.
• Develop strong working relationships with all relevant stakeholders, in particular the warehouse, production and purchasing teams.
• Minimize overstock and highlight obsolete component parts/raw materials, liaise with management to action accordingly.
• Work collaboratively with the Warehouse and Production Team Leaders to ensure that all staff are fully trained and adhering to inventory management procedures.
• Produce reports and provide routine management information on inventory performance.
• Monitor and evaluate material utilisation and scrap procedures across the site, working cross-functionally to implement/improve procedures and adherence to such.
• Implement improvement processes and systems to reduce inventory, minimize costs and maximize working capital
• Ensure maintenance of accurate written procedures for all main inventory control processes.
• To work in a safe manner by driving positive behaviour and leading by example with regards to the Company’s health and safety policies.
• To carry out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be expected.
What are we looking for?
• 5 GCSEs Grade A-C/4-9 including Maths and English or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in inventory management.
• Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles and guidelines.
• Detailed understanding of ERP/MRP and/or other inventory management systems.
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications -Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint in particular.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective time management and organisational skills.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn, improve and adapt.
• Strong attention to detail and adept at using a data driven approach to root cause analysis and problem solving.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure and to tight timescales, whilst maintaining quality.
• Proactive individual, comfortable with challenging and influencing at all levels within an organisation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Management or other relevant professional qualification.
• Experience of lean concepts, kanban and continuous improvement.
• Experience working in a similar industry.
