Responsibilities:
- Product Planning, Roadmap & Strategy: Assist in maintaining and updating the product roadmap by tracking milestones, coordinating timelines, and ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Product Development & Enhancement Opportunities: Assist in identifying opportunities for new product development and enhancements to existing offerings by gathering and analyzing customer feedback, tracking competitor activity, and staying informed on market trends.
- Product Documentation & Specifications: Assist in preparing and updating key product documentation to support the Stage Gate process, including business case inputs, feasibility research, product requirements, and technical specifications.
- Progress Reviews & Reporting: Support regular cross-functional meetings by sharing product updates, capturing stakeholder feedback, and helping maintain alignment across teams. Document key discussions and follow-up actions to ensure visibility and accountability throughout projects.
- Product Forecasting: Provide assistance to the Head of Product Management in developing and refining customer demand forecasts for new product introductions. Help track and adjust projections as market conditions evolve, and ensure updates are clearly communicated to cross-functional teams including Commercial, Production Planning, and Purchasing.
- Coordinate & Manage Product Launch / Product Update Information: Contribute to product launch activities by coordinating internal communications, preparing training materials, and supporting go-to-market efforts with marketing and sales teams.
- Product Lifecycle Management Support: Work closely with the Head of Product Management to monitor and evaluate the performance of products. Assist in identifying low-performing or outdated offerings and support decisions regarding upgrades, repositioning, or discontinuation.
- Communicate Product Plans & Strategy to Team Members: Work closely with engineering, design, production, and sales teams to ensure smooth communication and execution throughout the product lifecycle — from concept to delivery.
- Pricing Management Support: Gathering and preparing comprehensive data on market pricing, competitive positioning, and product costs to inform strategic pricing decisions. Timely updates to Price Lists and the communication of pricing changes to all interested parties, both internally and externally.
- Market Research and Analysis: Compile market research / maintain awareness of the market to effectively identify customer needs and trends. Organise this data into meaningful information stored in a central location or database which is accessible to all interested parties.
- Competitor Research and Analysis: Collect data on competitive products, potential competitive products, competitor capabilities and pricing. Organise this data into meaningful information stored in a central location or database which is accessible to all interested parties. Effectively use this information to identify strengths and weaknesses of proposed new products / product enhancements relative to the competition.
About You:
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and product lifecycle management (PLM). Exposure to stage gate processes and procedures.
