Elco Recruitment are an agency that supplies workers across the UK, within the construction sector. We are looking for a skilled Welder to join a workshop team in Sudbury, working on high-quality architectural metalwork projects. The role will involve the fabrication and welding of components such as stairwells, fire-exit stairs, balustrades, and associated architectural steelwork. This is a workshop-based position, and no CSCS card is required.

Responsibilities- Welding and fabrication of architectural metalwork components
- Producing staircases, stairwells, fire exit structures, handrails, and related items
- Working from technical drawings and fabrication details
- Ensuring high standards of workmanship and finish
- Using MIG / TIG welding processes (as applicable)
- Maintaining a clean and safe workshop environment
- Working to deadlines while maintaining quality standards
- Proven experience as a Welder / Fabricator Welder
- Experience with architectural metalwork preferred
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings
- Competent in MIG and/or TIG welding (depending on role)
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Workshop-based role – no site work required
- No CSCS card required
