The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver who will work in coordination with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain our next generation websites and web tools. You must be comfortable working as part of a team while taking the initiative to take lead on new innovations and projects.

Main responsibilities:
- Development of digital interfaces for CMS-driven websites, static websites, microsites, emails etc.
- Advising design teams on emerging best practice in accessibility standards and user experience.
- Using HTML / JavaScript / CSS to deliver elegant yet sophisticated web interfaces.
- Identifying and rectifying front-end performance issues.
- Supporting the back-end development team with knowledge and advice on optimal front-end coding.
- Working with the UX & design teams to offer guidance on what is possible and helping to implement front-end code to bring their designs to life.
- Hands-on support for day-to-day tasks during web project lifecycles e.g. copy updates, editing HTML templates, population of content into CMS platforms, small cosmetic updates, site maintenance, etc.
- Staying on top of new technologies and techniques.
- Front End QA including cross-browser testing in multiple platforms and W3C compliance.
Skills & experience:
- A minimum of three years experience of working in a similar role.
- A solid working knowledge of the following areas:
- Custom WordPress theme development
- PHP, MySQL
- A good understanding of server technologies i.e. nginx and Apache
- Experience in using GIT/Version control
- HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
- Experience in any of the following technologies would be a bonus; Laravel, Shopify, HubSpot CMS, React JS
- Cross-browser & cross-platform compatibility testing
- Graceful degrading & progressive enhancement
- Web Standards & WAI compliance
- Adobe XD/Figma or similar
- UI content display & load state strategy.
