What you’ll do

Working for a beat forester, as a works supervisor within a small beat team of forest craftspeople, you’ll deliver practical forest management tasks and shape the forest for future generations. The district is commercially focused with large thinning, felling and restocking programmes; the core work will be focused on enabling implementation of these. Forest Craftspersons are expected to work in all weather with a standard 37‑hour week usually 7.00‑15.00 (14.30 Fridays) with occasional overtime to meet operational requirements.

The post is based in East England Forest District with a starting point based from Santon Downham, Brandon, Suffolk.

How to apply

You will be asked to write a 200‑word statement on your relevant experience and career history, along with a personal statement of no more than 500 words. Candidates will be assessed on both during sifting, and on experience, technical skill and strength‑based questions during the interview.
