We’re working with a leading civil engineering company looking to appoint a motivated Technical Sales Engineer or Sales Manager to drive growth in the South Wales area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technical sales professional from the civil engineering sector to join a progressive business recognised for its innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.

Role Overview
As Technical Sales Engineer, you’ll manage and develop client relationships across South Wales, providing tailored ground engineering solutions to the built environment sectors. You’ll take ownership of the sales cycle from lead qualification to project design, quotation, and closing deals. This is a hands-on, field-based role where building trust with homeowners and professional stakeholders is key.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the region
- Conduct site assessments and provide expert advice on engineering solutions
- Design technical solutions based on survey data
- Prepare quotes and follow up to secure orders
- Ensure seamless handover to the operations team for project delivery
- Provide after-sales support and resolve any client issues
- Maintain accurate records using the CRM system
- Meet and exceed sales targets
Qualifications
- Demonstrable sales experience in technical, engineering, construction, or other relevant sectors across the built environment
- A relevant qualification in construction, engineering, or surveying
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency with virtual tools and CRM systems
- Full UK driving licence
- Target-driven mindset with a proactive approach
Package
Base pay range: This range is provided by elb recruit. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
We offer a competitive salary with a commission scheme designed to reward over-achievement, giving high performers a genuine opportunity to earn £100k+. Additional benefits include a car allowance, pension, healthcare, and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. Inbound leads will support your success, but a proactive, self-driven approach to outbound sales will be key to unlocking your full earning potential.
