You will play a key role within the civils team, taking responsibility for the delivery of highways, drainage, SuDS and infrastructure design from early feasibility and planning through to detailed design, technical approvals and construction support. The role is deliberately hands-on. You will remain closely involved in the production, checking and development of engineering solutions while acting as a technical point of contact for clients, contractors, local authorities and other members of the design team. You will also have the opportunity to support and mentor junior and intermediate engineers, helping to develop the growing Midlands team.

- Interpret topographical surveys, ground investigation information, site constraints and existing infrastructure
- Develop levels strategies, earthworks and cut-and-fill solutions
- Coordinate designs with structural, geotechnical, environmental, architectural and other disciplines
- Liaise with clients, contractors, local authorities, Lead Local Flood Authorities, sewerage undertakers and other stakeholders
- Ensure designs are practical, buildable, commercially viable and compliant with relevant UK standards
- Support technical approvals, planning submissions and construction-stage requirements
- Assist with fee proposals, project planning, resource requirements and delivery programmes
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior and intermediate engineers
- Contribute to design quality, technical assurance, best practice and continuous improvement within the team
About You
