We are looking for a new member to join our Business Development team in the United Kingdom, to expand and develop our pipeline of UK assets. The job is based in London and involves frequent domestic travel. Reporting directly to the Business Development responsible of England and Wales, your main responsibilities will be:
- Creating and developing new and profitable Solar, Wind and Storage opportunities from identification of potential projects up to the ready to build phase.
- Evaluating the economic and technical feasibility of projects, managing greenfield, co-development and M&A opportunities and implementing BD strategy in the region; focusing on market analysis and project opportunity assessments from a market/financial and technical perspective.
- Key role in the origination of opportunities in the UK region with emphasis on the analysis stage.
- Assisting with preparation and negotiation of land rights documents including Heads of Terms and Option to Lease agreements.
- Support on project due diligence processes and for preparation of internal and external documentation.
- Help managing engineering studies, environmental impact assessments and other technical staff in connection to the projects in order to secure permitting/planning permission.
- Manage and coordinate with all project stakeholders, internal teams, landowners, Grid operators/DNO’s and planning consultants.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in UK renewable sector.
- BSc. Degree in Engineering, Finance, or related fields. Specialized master’s degree or additional training on renewables is a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting: prior financial modelling for energy or infrastructure projects and VBA experience will be valued.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Motivation, proactivity, teamworking and communication.
- Knowledge of Spanish would be an advantage.
