What is the purpose of this role?
- Supports the sales team to win profitable new clients through sales of payment services into the SMB and Mid-market segment both directly and through partners.
- Identify business opportunities based on expert knowledge of prospecting, merchants, markets, products and services.
- Engage with prospects throughout the buying cycle, particularly in the discovery phase and support creation/delivery of compelling proposals, negotiating/managing large and complex sales (including co-ordination of technical teams).
- Maintain relationships with clients post-sale and for a period of up to 12 months to continue to deliver value-added services and maintain excellent levels of customer service.
- Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships within referral and introducer partnerships (plus trade associations and other networks) to maintain an effective network to help promote sales.
