Due to continued expansion, we're recruiting an experienced Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join our well established client.

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for driving the current and future electronic product range. Supporting multiple departments and ensuring to deliver excellence to customers worldwide.
  • Review, update, and potentially redesign current electrical items to meet quality and safety standards.
  • Support the testing and development of products throughout their lifecycle, ensuring they meet the latest standards and regulations.
  • Generate crucial documentation, such as Wiring Diagrams and build instructions, to guide manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Specify, design, test, and integrate electronic equipment as per project requirements and company standards.
  • Develop maintenance and testing procedures for electronic components and equipment, ensuring all products are safe and effective.
  • Exposure to the full product lifecycle from concept generation through to product release.

Requirements:

  • Electronics Degree (or equivalent).
  • An understanding of analogue and digital circuits.
  • Fault finding to component level.
  • Good understanding of the regulatory landscape of the UK, EU and US and a proven track record of designing for compliance with appropriate standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable explaining complex engineering concepts to both a technical and non-technical audience.
  • Someone not afraid to be ‘Hands-on’ and work with the team to work through challenges from first principles on the bench.
  • Experience in Assembler/BASCOM programming languages is desirable.
  • Experience in PCB design using EasyPC is desirable.
  • Use of Multimeter, Oscilloscope and Power supplies.
  • Safe practice of Mains voltage primary (side) Transformers.
  • Working knowledge of IT skills particularly with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience of working with Industrial standards and Directives.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and timescales.
  • Able to travel nationally & occasionally internationally.

Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 5pm and Fridays 8:30am - 2pm.

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 Per Annum.

This is a Full time, Permanent position.
