Due to continued expansion, we're recruiting an experienced Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join our well established client.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for driving the current and future electronic product range. Supporting multiple departments and ensuring to deliver excellence to customers worldwide.
- Review, update, and potentially redesign current electrical items to meet quality and safety standards.
- Support the testing and development of products throughout their lifecycle, ensuring they meet the latest standards and regulations.
- Generate crucial documentation, such as Wiring Diagrams and build instructions, to guide manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Specify, design, test, and integrate electronic equipment as per project requirements and company standards.
- Develop maintenance and testing procedures for electronic components and equipment, ensuring all products are safe and effective.
- Exposure to the full product lifecycle from concept generation through to product release.
Requirements:
- Electronics Degree (or equivalent).
- An understanding of analogue and digital circuits.
- Fault finding to component level.
- Good understanding of the regulatory landscape of the UK, EU and US and a proven track record of designing for compliance with appropriate standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable explaining complex engineering concepts to both a technical and non-technical audience.
- Someone not afraid to be ‘Hands-on’ and work with the team to work through challenges from first principles on the bench.
- Experience in Assembler/BASCOM programming languages is desirable.
- Experience in PCB design using EasyPC is desirable.
- Use of Multimeter, Oscilloscope and Power supplies.
- Safe practice of Mains voltage primary (side) Transformers.
- Working knowledge of IT skills particularly with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience of working with Industrial standards and Directives.
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and timescales.
- Able to travel nationally & occasionally internationally.
Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 5pm and Fridays 8:30am - 2pm.
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 Per Annum.
This is a Full time, Permanent position.
