Are you an experienced Quality Inspector with a background in engineering or manufacturing? Due to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Quality Inspector to support and strengthen quality standards across their manufacturing operation in Rotherham. The Role
As Senior Quality Inspector, you’ll work closely with the Quality, Production, and Engineering teams to ensure products consistently meet customer specifications and required industry standards including ISO9001 and AS9100. You’ll be a hands-on and proactive presence within the inspection department, supporting the development of the inspection team while helping drive quality improvements across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading, mentoring, and supporting a team of 3 Inspectors
- Carrying out dimensional, visual, and functional inspections
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Using CMMs, gauges, micrometers, and other inspection equipment
- Completing quality documentation including FAIRs, ISIRs, NCRs, and PAPS
- Supporting audits, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement activities
- Working closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality departments
- Ensuring compliance with ISO9001, AS9100, and customer quality standards
- Supporting problem-solving and corrective action activities where required
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience within engineering, aerospace, or manufacturing quality inspection
- Team leadership or supervisory experience within a quality environment
- Strong knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 standards
- Experience using CMM and manual inspection equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience completing FAIRs, ISIRs, NCRs, and PAPS documentation desirable
- Proactive, organised, and detail-focused approach
