This is a Full time, Permanent position.
We are recruiting for an experienced Production Supervisor to join a busy and growing manufacturer. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on supervisor with a strong CNC machining background who can lead from the front, support production performance, and drive quality and efficiency across the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support daily production activities within the CNC machining department
- Lead, motivate, and develop machine operators and setters
- Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery deadlines are achieved
- Provide technical support and problem-solving on the shop floor
- Monitor machining performance, downtime, and efficiency
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety procedures
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Planning teams to improve production flow and performance
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Production Supervisor or Team Leader position within precision engineering/manufacturing
- Strong CNC machining background essential
- Experience with 5-Axis machining centres
- Strong knowledge of Fanuc and Heidenhain controls
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills
- Hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
- Experience driving continuous improvement and shop floor efficiencies
