Due to continued expansion, we are recruiting an experienced CNC Fabrication Engineer to join our well established client.
Purpose of role:
The day to day running and upkeep of CNC machines and Press Brakes, controlling CNC goods inwards and prepping jobs as required. Welding of MS based products to drawing.
Job Duties:
- You are responsible for your health and safety and the health and safety of those around you.
- Setting and Operating CNC machines (e.g.; Trupunch 1000 with sheetmaster compact Trumpf Press brake 3100 & 3066) and their related equipment.
- Fold cut parts as per drawings provided.
- MIG Welding of mild steel products to drawing specification.
- Carry out basic TPM (total preventive maintenance) on the machines – cleaning, sharpening, replacing slats, replacing air/water pipes etc.
- Managing stocks important to the day to day running of the area i.e. sheet metal, pallets, deionized water etc.
- Controlling logistics goods inwards, checking goods coming in for quantity and quality, passing on delivery notes to the logistics team.
- Keep area tidy and organised free from slip/trip/snag hazards.
- Any other duties the company sees fit to issue.
Requirements:
- Ability to set and run all folding machines an advantage.
- Ability to set and run CNC machines.
- Forklift trained an advantage.
- A strong team player with a collaborative approach to achieving company goals.
- Hardworking and committed to meeting deadlines.
- A customer-focused attitude, supporting both internal and external stakeholders.
- A clear understanding of the company’s objectives and operational needs.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Confident in reading and working from mechanical drawings.
Starting Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 DOE.
Working hours: Flexible / 40 hours per week.
This is a Full time, Permanent position.
