Due to continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced Laboratory Supervisor to oversee and manage operations across both laboratory facilities for our well-established client. This is a pivotal role that ensures the smooth planning, coordination, and execution of chemistry make-up and testing processes, supporting the company's high-quality standards and production goals.
Job Duties:
- Manage and supervise all day-to-day operations of two laboratories.
- Lead a team of laboratory technicians, ensuring performance, training, and development meet company standards.
- Plan and schedule testing activities in line with production requirements and timelines.
- Oversee the preparation and make-up of chemical solutions and testing materials.
- Ensure all testing is conducted in compliance with internal protocols, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to testing and lab performance.
- Collaborate with production teams to align laboratory outputs with business needs.
- Continuously improve lab processes and systems for efficiency, safety, and reliability.
- Ensure all duties are carried out safely within the company Health & Safety requirements.
- Identify issues and potential problems early so that they can be addressed to minimise impact on production.
- Be responsible for chemistry equipment ensuring it is operating efficiently.
- Analyse data within the production lab ensuring tanks are operating at optimum levels.
- Ensure a high standard of housekeeping is adhered to with 5S maintained as it is rolled out through the facility.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Chemistry.
- Knowledge of metal finishing.
- Experience in handling chemicals.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- Strong computer skills predominantly Excel.
- Working in a production environment.
- Waste management.
- Test facility experience.
Salary: £34,000 Per Annum.
Working hours: Monday to Thursday 6am - 4pm / Flexible.
