Job Description
- Production Manager
- Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are recruiting for an experienced Production Manager to take ownership of production across a busy engineering/manufacturing site.
This is a hands-on leadership role focused on production delivery, LEAN improvement, efficiency and team performance.
You’ll be responsible for keeping production on schedule while driving measurable improvements across the operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily production across multiple shifts
- Deliver production plans, quality and OTIF targets
- Drive LEAN improvements, including 5S, SMED, TPM and visual management
- Improve OEE, changeover times, scrap and labour efficiency
- Lead and develop supervisors, team leaders and operators
- Manage production KPIs, budgets and continuous improvement projects
- Work closely with Engineering, Planning, Quality and Purchasing
- Champion health, safety and quality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Production Manager, Operations Manager or similar
- Engineering, metalwork, machining, fabrication or precision manufacturing background
- Strong track record of delivering measurable LEAN improvements
- Experience managing multiple shifts and production teams
- Confident using ERP/MRP systems and production data
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and health & safety
- Credible, hands-on leadership style with the ability to drive change
LEAN Six Sigma, HNC/HND, NEBOSH/IOSH or ISO 9001 experience would be advantageous.
