The Role
We are recruiting for a
QC Technician to join a successful manufacturing business in Chesterfield.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with laboratory or quality control experience to support product testing, quality assurance, and continuous improvement within a busy manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out quality control testing on raw materials and finished products.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and quality documentation.
- Support the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- Investigate quality issues and customer complaints, assisting with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Assist with R&D projects, production trials and new product testing.
- Prepare technical reports and maintain product specifications.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment. Support internal and external quality audits.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and quality standards.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in a scientific discipline (Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science or similar).
- Previous experience in a QC or laboratory environment.
- Knowledge of laboratory testing and quality control procedures.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- Experience with ISO 9001 is desirable.
