An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Director to join a growing, multi-disciplinary business operating within the infrastructure and engineering sector. This is a strategic leadership role, responsible for driving financial performance, supporting business growth, and providing commercial insight to the senior leadership team.
The successful candidate will lead the finance function, oversee financial strategy, and play a key role in shaping the long-term success of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the company's financial strategy to support business growth.
- Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
- Prepare and present accurate financial reports to the senior leadership team.
- Monitor financial performance and provide commercial analysis to support decision-making.
- Manage cash flow, financial controls and risk management processes.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, accounting standards and internal governance.
- Lead, mentor and develop the finance team.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to identify commercial opportunities and improve business performance.
- Support strategic projects, acquisitions and continuous business improvement initiatives.
- Drive operational efficiencies through effective financial management and reporting.
About You
- Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related discipline.
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in senior financial leadership roles.
- Strong background in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
- Commercially astute with excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Proven experience leading and developing high-performing finance teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience within engineering, construction, infrastructure, transport or other project-led industries would be highly advantageous.
