The Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Installing, commissioning and servicing specialist industrial monitoring and analytical equipment.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs both on-site and remotely.
- Providing technical support and guidance to customers.
- Producing accurate service reports and documentation.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with quality standards.
- Building strong customer relationships by delivering an exceptional level of service.
- Travelling throughout the UK and overseas to customer sites, including occasional overnight stays.
About You
We're looking for a motivated engineer who enjoys working independently and takes pride in delivering a high standard of work.
Essential
- HNC in an Engineering discipline or equivalent practical engineering experience.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK and internationally.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Desirable
- Experience with gas analysers, emissions monitoring (CEMS), process instrumentation or environmental monitoring equipment.
- Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) experience.
- Previous experience within industries such as power generation, oil & gas, chemical processing, pharmaceuticals or heavy manufacturing.
- CCNSG Safety Passport or CSCS Card.
