The successful candidate will be responsible for working in an empowered, cross-functional product team to create a market-leading AI EdTech product. Empowered product teams are cross-functional, motivated by outcomes, and empowered to achieve those outcomes through continuous discovery and delivery with high levels of customer interaction. Because this is an AI product, this is a technical product role requiring competence with AI web and cloud products. It is a holistic product role covering all aspects of product management including product owner responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage product value and viability risks, collaborating in a cross-functional product team including designers, engineers and data scientists to also manage usability and feasibility risks.
  • Collaborative responsibility for evidence-based, outcome-focused decision making for what is delivered in the product, and validation that what is delivered achieves intended outcomes.
  • All product management and product ownership responsibilities through the course of continuous discovery, delivery, and commercialisation, discerning the highest leverage activities that warrant the highest attention and effort.
  • Work with stakeholders across the business including executives, marketing, sales, finance, customer success and support to holistically drive customer and business outcomes.
  • Partner with customer success to validate that the product achieves its intended outcomes for customers and their stakeholders.
  • Contribute to a team climate in which everyone is empowered to bring their fullest contribution to creating essential value for customers and the education outcomes.
  • Contribute to an ongoing practice of learning from the team’s experiences to continually grow its capabilities and impact.

Experience:

  • Working in empowered cross-functional product teams managed by business and customer outcomes.
  • Applying continuous discovery and delivery practices.
  • Responsibility for one or more early stage or new products.
  • Sourcing high-frequency interviews with customer prospects (buyers and users) in B2B settings.
  • Working with high-tech software products (ideally having worked with data scientists).
