We are seeking an M&E Installations Technician to help us revolutionise the physical and digital music industry. elasticStage is building the world’s first on-demand vinyl and CD platform, unlocking physical music for the Digital Creator era. By 2030, there will be over 250 million music creators globally, most locked out of physical formats due to high minimum runs and operational complexity. elasticStage solves this through patented on-demand vinyl and CD manufacturing technology, powering a free-to-use platform where creators can produce and sell physical releases worldwide with no upfront costs or minimum quantities.

We are looking for an M&E Installations Technician to build, wire, and commission our proprietary production machines at our manufacturing site. Each installation unit consists of a set of machines configured around a collaborative robot arm. This is a permanent, site-based, hands-on role. The work is highly repetitive and precision-focused, requiring consistency, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot methodically when issues arise.

Responsibilities

  • Mechanical assembly and installation of proprietary production machines according to build documentation and procedures.
  • Mechanical commissioning and quality checks at each stage of the installation.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and supporting commissioning documentation.
  • Installation and commissioning of vacuum and compressed air systems within each installation unit.
  • All electrical cabling for production unit installations: power, control, and signal wiring per installation documentation.
  • Electrical commissioning and testing of all unit components.
  • Leading the electrical utilities scope: on-site power distribution, electrical infrastructure coordination with facilities and third-party contractors.
  • Ensuring all electrical work complies with relevant safety standards and local regulations.
  • Identifying and resolving mechanical and electrical issues during build and commissioning.
  • Maintaining accurate as-built records, installation logs, and flagging deviations from standard.
  • Supporting integrated commissioning alongside the installations manager and wider team.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of installation procedures, tooling, and installation cycle time as production scales.
  • Maintain organised, safe, and clean work areas, tools, and equipment.

Requirements

  • Background in mechanical assembly, machine building, industrial installation, or related technical environments.
  • Practical experience in industrial electrical installation and commissioning.
  • Experience with machine wiring including power, control, and signal cabling.
  • Experience with pneumatic systems (vacuum and compressed air).
  • Ability to read and work from mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience coordinating with facilities teams or external electrical contractors.
  • Working knowledge of electrical safety standards and compliance requirements.
  • Methodical, precise, and quality-focused.
  • Troubleshooting ability: able to diagnose mechanical or electrical faults methodically and independently.
  • Comfortable working in a structured, process-driven environment with high levels of repetition.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to low-voltage signals or network cabling.
  • Background in manufacturing, production equipment, or industrial automation environments.
  • Experience in both mechanical and electrical functions.
  • Experience supporting commissioning or ramp-up activities in a production environment.

Benefits

  • Industry-Leading Salary Package: Enjoy a highly competitive salary package that rewards your expertise and hard work.
  • Full training on our proprietary equipment alongside the core engineering team.
  • Clear growth path as the installation team expands.
  • Flexible time off: 25 days of paid holiday, a paid birthday off, and remote-friendly working.
  • Comprehensive Pension Scheme: Secure your future with our robust pension scheme.
  • Cutting-Edge Tech Office Environment: Work in a modern, tech-driven office environment equipped with the latest tools and technology.
  • Medical Insurance: Protect yourself with our comprehensive medical insurance plan.

This role is onsite, based in our vibrant Elstree office (WD6) five days a week.
