We are seeking an Audio QA Engineer to help us redefine the music industry. elasticStage is building the world’s first on-demand vinyl and CD platform, unlocking physical music for the Digital Creator era. By 2030, there will be over 250 million music creators globally, most locked out of physical formats due to high minimum runs and operational complexity. elasticStage solves this through patented on-demand vinyl and CD manufacturing technology, powering a free-to-use platform where creators can produce and sell physical releases worldwide with no upfront costs or minimum quantities.

Quality and problem-solving are at the heart of our audio work here at elasticStage. As an Audio QA Engineer you will be reporting to the Audio QA Lead to support our quality checks on samples and product deliveries, performing tests on incoming and outgoing audio content and contributing to the development of our quality standards. In addition, you will be involved in supporting various audio tasks relating to tuning and aligning audio systems and running quality control tests as well as collaborating with other members of the Audio team for investigations and projects involving new equipment. This role is well-suited to someone with a technical flair and a trained ear who wants to expand their expertise in audio engineering. This is not a creative music production role.

Responsibilities
  • Moderation of audio content submissions (acquiring audio assets and evaluating their quality status).
  • Investigating and resolving issues in our products (critical listening and objective analysis).
  • Investigating audio-specific customer support issues.
  • Performing tests on audio equipment and reporting results.
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of our quality processes.
  • Management and preparation of high-priority product samples and replacements.
  • Supporting the calibration of our audio systems.
  • Supporting the maintenance of our audio playout infrastructure.
  • Mentoring junior team members.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years industry experience (Audio engineering/QA/music production roles).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Audio Engineering or related field.
  • Experience working with DAWs (recording, audio editing, building sessions, bouncing/rendering content).
  • Good knowledge of Windows and Mac OS.
  • Experience working with network audio (Dante, Ravenna etc).
  • Understanding of Vinyl and other physical audio media formats and related audio workflows.
  • Knowledge of technical audio, understanding frequency responses, audio levels, phase etc.
  • Experience in critical listening and audio evaluation and the ability to communicate subjective input.
  • A hands‑on approach to problem solving and a ‘can‑do’ attitude.
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
Nice to Haves
  • Most team members hold a bachelor’s degree in audio engineering or a related discipline.
  • Candidates should ideally have some professional studio experience rather than being completely new or straight out of school.
  • A technical foundation is important to succeed in this role.
What We Offer
  • Industry-Leading Salary Package: Enjoy a highly competitive salary package that rewards your expertise and hard work.
  • Generous Paid Holiday: Take advantage of 25 days of paid holiday to relax and recharge.
  • Comprehensive Pension Scheme: Secure your future with our robust pension scheme.
  • Cutting-Edge Tech Office Environment: Work in a modern, tech-driven office environment equipped with the latest tools and technology.
  • Free Snacks and Beverages: Enjoy free snacks and beverages to keep you energised throughout the day.
  • Medical Insurance: Protect yourself with our comprehensive medical insurance plan.
Work Location

This role will be four days a week onsite and one day working from home, working closely with teams at our production sites, primarily at Elstree but also potentially including other future locations as the company grows.
