What is The Role

The Product Manager will lead critical areas within self-service cloud growth, empowering self-service customers and trial users to be successful. This role specifically focuses on human user onboarding and agents onboarding, directly influencing the successful growth of Elastic Cloud.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Define the vision and roadmap for self service cloud growth, encompassing: onboarding and trial experience, product features adoption and trial activation, customer interviews and churn analysis, product engagement analytics and email nurturing.
  • Partnering with engineering leads to prioritise technical investments and establish realistic delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate with downstream Elastic solution teams (Observability, Security, Enterprise Search) to understand their specific onboarding flows and trial experience.
  • Drive technical decision-making regarding onboarding, activation, expansion and retention of self-service customers.
  • Interface with customers and trial users to gather feedback on trial experience.
  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing on competitive positioning and brand awareness.
  • Drive native integrations with 3rd party developers platforms.

What You Bring

  • 4+ years of Product Management experience with deep technical products.
  • Strong background and experience with Product Led Growth.
  • Demonstrated experience with self-service cloud services, having shipped products that provide self-service trials.
  • Data-driven approach to product decisions, with experience in product adoption and analysis.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of cross function collaborations and alignment.
  • Experience with globally distributed teams and asynchronous collaboration.

Bonus Points

  • Direct experience with Elasticsearch or similar search/database technologies.
  • Background in product marketing.
  • Experience with cloud service providers marketplaces.
