Role Overview
We seek an engineering manager to lead a distributed team within our Engineering Productivity group. This team manages developer productivity tools and CI/CD/Release functions, supporting our internal developer platform with technologies like Argo, CueLang, and Golang.
Responsibilities
- Develop roadmaps, prioritize work, and shape the teamβs mid to long-term vision.
- Manage, mentor, and lead a globally distributed team of 11 engineers, fostering cohesion and providing feedback.
- Represent and advocate for the team within the organization.
- Participate in Engineering Productivity and Infrastructure management cohorts.
- Engage in Major Incidents as Incident Commander.
- Implement processes to enhance team productivity and software quality.
Qualifications
- Experience managing diverse software engineering teams.
- Experience leading complex cross-team engineering projects.
- Hands-on software engineering background with strong CS fundamentals.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Empathetic communication style, good humor, and curiosity about team growth.
