Responsibilities
- As a Business Development Consultant for Elastic International, you’ll work at the intersection of strategy and execution, partnering with senior leaders to shape how we grow across our international markets.
- You will help turn complex business challenges into clear plans with measurable outcomes.
- Shape strategy that sticks. Partner directly with executives to design short- and long-term business plans, refine business models, and develop go-to-market strategies that are grounded in data and built to scale.
- Connect the dots across the business. Collaborate with cross-functional teams — from Sales and Marketing to Product and Finance — to align goals, remove friction, and drive strategic initiatives from concept to execution.
- Make the numbers talk. Conduct financial analyses, business valuations, and profitability assessments that turn strategy into something we can actually fund, build, and defend.
- Define what success looks like. Establish KPIs that give us an honest read on progress, and have the judgment to recommend pivots when the data calls for it.
- Drive growth. Develop and implement initiatives that tangibly move the needle on revenue and operational efficiency — not just slides, but outcomes.
Benefits
- Toast to your health: Fully paid health coverage for you and your family, in many locations.
- Craft your calendar: Flexible location and schedule for most roles.
- Create space for you: Distributed by design workforce, plus generous number of vacation days each year.
- Embrace parenthood: Minimum of 16 weeks of parental leave, plus generous family formation benefits.
- Give back your time: 40 hours each year to use toward volunteering with organizations and causes you’re passionate about.
- Amplify your impact: Double your charitable giving — we match donations up to $1500 USD (or local currency equivalent).
Qualifications
- Strong quantitative and financial modelling skills — you’re comfortable in a spreadsheet and can tell a story with data.
- You don’t need to have all the answers yet — curiosity and drive matter as much as experience here.
- An MBA or equivalent advanced degree from a top business school is a plus, but your thinking matters more than your pedigree.
- Strategic clarity and the ability to operate at both the 30,000-foot level and in the weeds when needed.
- 4+ years of experience in a consulting firm for the Tech sector or a SaaS corporate sales strategy internal function is a mandatory requirement — you know how to structure ambiguous problems and communicate findings to senior stakeholders.
- A solid grasp of the technology market — you understand enterprise software, SaaS dynamics, and what drives growth in this space.
