I am currently hiring for a Technical Project Manager for a key client of mine based in Cambridge. My client is a fast-growing UK-based fabless semiconductor company developing innovative RF front-end technology for mobile device manufacturers. Their mission is to revolutionise global connectivity and ultimately realise the vision of true software-defined radio.

To support their continued growth and the development of a commercial product, they now have the need to appoint a Technical Project Manager on a permanent basis. In this role, you’ll initially report directly to the CEO, taking full ownership of multi-disciplinary projects involving advanced RF module development, embedded software, and complex system integration. This is a leadership role requiring technical awareness, delivery discipline, and experience across both hardware and software product development lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end RF module development projects from concept to release.
  • Manage cross-functional teams across hardware, firmware, and test.
  • Build and maintain project plans, timelines, and risk tracking.
  • Ensure full system readiness for internal validation and customer delivery.
  • Report on progress, risks, and key milestones to senior leadership.
Essential Skills:
  • Proven project management experience in semiconductors or RF systems.
  • Strong understanding of hardware development (ICs, modules).
  • Technical background in RF/Hardware preferred.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
