Elastic is proud to be partnering with an innovative and design-led manufacturing business to recruit a Product Development Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative R&D environment where creativity, problem-solving, and fresh thinking are actively encouraged.
You’ll be part of a close-knit engineering team, working on the development of high-quality physical products across a variety of materials and manufacturing processes.
The Role
- Design and develop new products from concept through to production
- Work across multiple manufacturing processes including injection moulding, pressure die casting, and fabrication
- Use CAD (Creo preferred, but any package considered) to create and refine designs
- Apply FEA analysis to support product performance and optimisation
- Collaborate closely with workshop, R&D, and senior engineering colleagues
- Bring new ideas and approaches to improve design and development processes
What We’re Looking For
- A well-rounded engineer with experience across a variety of materials and manufacturing techniques
- Background in product development (not overly niche or specialised in one area)
- Experience with FEA and 3D CAD tools
- A creative thinker who enjoys problem-solving and innovation
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, collaborative engineering environment
The Team
You’ll be joining a team of 5, including an R&D Workshop Lead, Senior Engineer, and Principal Engineer, offering a great blend of experience and mentorship.
Location
This role requires 4 days per week onsite in Wiltshire. Candidates must be within a realistic commuting distance.
