Your role: Provide process engineering support for manufacturing processes at the Speke site. Ensure processes operate in a safe and compliant manner. Ensure process equipment is maintained in a qualified state. Through continuous improvement activity, improve and optimise production processes by increasing efficiency, reducing/eliminating waste and reducing variability in line with customer needs.
Your responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to manufacturing processes, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations
- Investigate deviations and perform root cause analysis to resolve process issues
- Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Supply teams to address day-to-day challenges
- Support internal, external, and customer audits as a technical subject matter expert
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance safety, quality, yield, and efficiency
- Lead process trials and optimisation activities to reduce waste and variability
- Champion Process Safety Management (PSM) practices and support safety and environmental compliance
- Maintain process safety information and contribute to risk assessments and regulatory requirements
- Own and implement process changes in line with site change management procedures
- Support capital projects, including defining requirements, commissioning, and qualification activities
- Develop and maintain technical documentation (e.g. process flow diagrams, reports)
- Provide technical coaching and support to operations and process teams
- Ensure effective communication across teams and escalate risks where needed
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical field
- +7 years of experience in a manufacturing or process environment
- Strong understanding of process engineering principles and continuous improvement
- Experience working cross-functionally in a regulated environment
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
- Chartered Engineer status (IChemE) or working towards
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g. pharma, chemicals, food/feed)
