Your role
Global Lab Informatics Sr.
Associate is accountable for delivery and maintenance of Elanco global laboratory informatics systems, with primary emphasis on the implementation of Lab Vantage.
This role is a key global point of contact for site QC labs, Global Quality, and Elanco MQ and IT personnel.
The role will provide technical leadership and project management oversight for the Elanco laboratory informatics teams global implementation of Lab Vantage across the QC Network.
NOTE: This position is a fixed duration position, with an anticipated contract length of 3 years.
- Your responsibilities
- Strategic Deployment of Laboratory Informatics Solutions, with primary emphasis on Lab
Vantage: provide program leadership and support established timelines, provide routine progress reports/metrics, and elevate issues as appropriate.
- Key contact for site leadership and staff to ensure successful deployment of Lab Vantage, including negotiation of project priorities and elimination of barriers.
- Drive the discovery and creation of master data, reports, dashboards, and other key Lab Vantage deliverables.
- Define and implement support strategy for sustainable lifecycle management of Lab Vantage.
- Collect key learning from deployment activities to incorporate improvements and best practices into downstream deployments.
- Ensure Lab Vantage solution remains in compliance with CSQ/CSV requirements.
- Define, develop, and implement business processes to help ensure most effective use of Lab Vantage.
Refine business requirements in collaboration with SMEs and stakeholders as needed to gain maximum value from the IT solution.
- Represent business requirements in vendor discussions.
- Comply with all company local and global policies including Quality frameworks, Code of Conduct, Corporate Citizenship, anti‑discrimination, harassment, and health, safety and environment (HSE) policies.
- Perform any other duties or serve in such other capacity as may be determined by Company management.
- What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications)
Education
- Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, information technology, or other applicable scientific discipline.
Experience
- Previous laboratory experience, within a regulated environment – exposure to external regulators i. e. USDA / FDA / VMD etc.
- Strong working knowledge of laboratory operations and processes.
- Demonstrated experience with the use and/or implementation of Lab Vantage.
- Quantitative analytical skills, creativity in problem solving, and a keen business sense.
- Ability to both lead and support; and a track record of going the “extra mile” for internal stakeholders and his/her team.
- Effective communications (written/verbal), presentation and facilitation skills.
- Interpersonal savvy, with the capacity to build strong senior relationships.
- Passion for excellence and the desire to have a significant impact on the business.
- Highly self‑motivated and willing to proactively take on leadership roles within project teams and the company at large.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate and drive change across an organization.
