Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Trainee Lift Install Engineer role, mainly based in the London Area, United Kingdom.
The trainee will assist experienced lift installation engineers with the installation, modernisation, and testing of lifts and related steel structures in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
Day‑to‑day tasks include helping with mechanical and electrical lift components, following installation drawings and specifications, and supporting routine checks to ensure safe and compliant operation.
The role involves working within health and safety guidelines, maintaining tools and equipment, and documenting installation activities as required.
The trainee will receive structured training, mentoring, and on‑the‑job learning, with opportunities to progress toward recognised industry qualifications.
Qualifications
- Technical aptitude and willingness to learn skills related to lifting equipment, including basic mechanical and electrical understanding.
- Ability to support maintenance and repair activities, including routine inspections, fault finding, and assisting with corrective actions.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members, supervisors, and site stakeholders.
