Duties:
- Delivering Functional Skills maths and English qualifications (Entry level to level 2)
- Support learners with online exam processes and pre-exam support
- Utilise a range of creative and innovative teaching and learning tools.
- Identify any barriers to learning and plan effective training based on individual learner needs.
- Providing remote one-to-one and group support in order for learners to progress through their qualifications.
- Identify learner's strengths and weaknesses through initial assessment and support them accordingly.
- Provide robust feedback to learners and deliver necessary support to ensure they achieve their required qualification.
- Ensure each learner's progression is recorded efficiently.
- Work to given KPIs to support companywide targets.
- Using e-portfolio systems to create detailed Teaching, Learning and Assessment plans
- Ensure that you actively update your CPD record, along with development, staff training and areas to develop
- Adhere to policies and procedures, and complete any actions identified within Quality audits in a timely manner.
Essential Criteria:
- Experience of delivering Functional Skills maths and English remotely, both on a one-to-one and group basis.
- Hold own Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English (or GCSE equivalent)
- Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively
- Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate learners.
- Experience of working towards and achieving KPIs.
- Excellent digital skills.
Desired Criteria:
- Ideally have experience of supporting learners with learning difficulties/disabilities.
- Ideally hold a recognised teaching qualification (such as PTLLS/AET, PGCE, Cert Ed etc).
Personal Skills:
- Demonstrate energy and passion to motivate and train clients.
- Enthusiastic individual who is able to make a real impact and make learning exciting.
- Demonstrate confidence, tenacity, and ability to work on own initiative.
- Ability to communicate at all levels, tailoring training sessions to meet the learner's needs.
- Excellent organisation skills.
Salary: Β£27,000.00 to Β£30,000.00 /year pro rata base
Note: An offer of employment and start date remains conditional on the receipt of satisfactory DBS check outcomes and 2 verified written references.
