We are looking for a brilliant Assistant General Manager to join Harts Group as part of our exceptional El Pastor in the heart of London Bridge, London. El Pastor is a small group of Mexican taquerias in London, inspired by the decade the founders spent in Mexico City, running a cult nightclub and searching for the city’s best taco al pastor. We pour our hearts into top quality authentic produce, making fresh tortillas daily using heritage corn and working directly with suppliers and cooperative farmers in Mexico. We are proud to have been awarded a Star by the Sustainable Restaurant Association.

This ethos is felt by our teams; they understand the journey of the ingredients and how important they are to the dishes they serve. El Pastor is deeply invested in sourcing the most wonderful mezcals and tequilas and making every day a fiesta.

The Assistant General Manager Role

  • Experience of 2 years in a high volume, quality led Restaurant in London
  • Proven track record of inspiring and motivating a large team
  • Maximise revenue by controlling the flow of customers and table management
  • Ensure all restaurants are impeccably presented and kept to a high standard
  • Able to control wage percentage in line with targets
  • Good understanding of wastage, stock management, costings, and GP
  • Responsible for the financial performance of the businesses
  • Managing and exceeding guest expectations at all times
  • Be the face of the brand known for its warm welcome
  • Excellent knowledge of our menus, ingredients, and allergens
  • Strong team ethic showing respect for your colleagues
