About the Role

El Fuego is entering an ambitious growth phase, aiming to transform from a successful restaurant into a recognised national brand across the UK. We are seeking a highly strategic and commercially driven Marketing & Commercial Manager to lead this expansion. This role is critical in identifying, developing, and executing new revenue streams beyond traditional restaurant operations, while building a scalable brand with the objective of opening multiple branches within 24 months of recruitment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial Growth & Revenue Expansion
    • Identify and develop new revenue channels to diversify business income
    • Lead the launch and growth of catering services targeting:
      • Care homes
      • Corporate offices
      • Private and public events
      • Wedding catering
      • Schools and colleges
    • Develop and introduce ready-to-eat food product lines for distribution in supermarkets and retail chains
    • Establish pricing models, contracts, and commercial strategies for each new segment
  • Strategic Marketing & Brand Development
    • Design and execute a national marketing strategy to position El Fuego as a recognised UK brand
    • Build strong brand visibility across digital platforms, local markets, and B2B sectors
    • Oversee campaigns promoting catering services, retail products, and expansion initiatives
    • Ensure consistent branding across all channels, locations, and partnerships
  • Business Development & Partnerships
    • Establish partnerships with:
      • Care home groups and healthcare providers
      • Corporate organisations and office networks
      • Event planners and wedding organisers
      • Educational institutions
      • Supermarkets and retail distributors
    • Lead negotiations and secure long-term commercial agreements
    • Identify opportunities for franchising, licensing, or regional partnerships
  • Expansion & Growth Strategy
    • Develop and implement a scalable business model to support multi-location growth
    • Play a key role in planning and launching new branches across the UK within 24 months
    • Conduct market research to identify high-potential locations for expansion
    • Support operational planning aligned with commercial growth objectives
  • Performance & Financial Oversight
    • Monitor revenue performance across all new and existing channels
    • Prepare financial forecasts, budgets, and growth projections
    • Track KPIs related to customer acquisition, retention, and profitability
    • Use data-driven insights to refine marketing and commercial strategies
  • Leadership & Coordination
    • Lead internal marketing initiatives and coordinate with external agencies
    • Work closely with senior management to align commercial goals with operations
    • Build and guide a team to support scaling efforts

Requirements

Essential:

  • Bachelor Degree or Masters
  • Proven experience in commercial strategy, business development, or marketing leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new revenue streams and scale businesses
  • Strong understanding of both B2B and B2C marketing strategies
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and strategic planning skills

Desirable:

  • Experience in hospitality, food production, or catering industry
  • Experience launching products into retail or supermarket channels
  • Knowledge of UK market expansion strategies
