We are seeking a highly capable Technical Trainer to support our clients operations function across gas utilisation, power generation and solar assets. This is a key role within the business, responsible for raising technical competence, safety standards, and operational performance across all operational and engineering teams.
You will ensure staff are trained to best-in-sector standards, capable of working safely and unsupervised, and aligned with company KPIs, HSQE requirements, and customer expectations.
Objectives:- Maximise production and reduce operational costs through effective operation and maintenance of generating assets.
- Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of generators, solar, gas processing plant and associated systems.
- Provide flexible support to the Projects Department to meet commissioning timescales and budgets.
- Audit on-site working practices to ensure compliance with company procedures and safety standards.
- Induct new starters and develop them to a level where they can work safely and unsupervised.
- Develop, update, assess and deliver all internal training and development modules.
- Review and recommend external training resources to accelerate team competency.
- Continually assess the competency of operational and technical staff across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, H&S, operational management, legislation, gas systems, housekeeping, customer liaison and record keeping.
- Mentor, coach and guide operational teams to continually enhance skillsets and technical knowledge.
- Maintain accurate employee training records in conjunction with Operations and Procurement Management.
- Coordinate and facilitate departmental training requirements.
- Review, develop and improve existing training courses and introduce new programmes as required.
- Participate in training and development reviews.
