We’re looking for a hands-on Site Maintenance Engineer to join a growing team responsible for maintaining and improving large-scale heating and industrial plant rooms across multiple sites. This is a varied role where you’ll be working on plant equipment in commercial environments, carrying out maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and helping improve system performance and reliability.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Carrying out planned maintenance on mechanical plant equipment (pumps, valves, heat exchangers, pressurisation units)
  • Diagnosing faults and completing repairs across heating and plant systems
  • Responding to breakdowns and restoring services as quickly as possible
  • Supporting small projects and plant upgrades
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with procedures
  • Keeping accurate maintenance records and reports
  • Taking part in an on-call rota

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working in plant rooms or similar environments
  • Experience maintaining commercial mechanical systems (heating, pumps, pipework, etc.)
  • Understanding of fault finding and repair on plant equipment
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Gas, Plumbing, or Mechanical discipline
  • Willingness to work towards or hold commercial gas qualification
