We’re looking for a hands-on Site Maintenance Engineer to join a growing team responsible for maintaining and improving large-scale critical infrastructure within Data Centres. This is a varied role where you’ll be working on plant equipment in commercial environments, carrying out maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and helping improve system performance and reliability.
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on electrical systems and critical data centre infrastructure, including UPS systems, switchgear, PDUs, generators, and associated electrical distribution equipment
- Diagnosing electrical faults and completing repairs across critical power and infrastructure systems
- Responding to breakdowns and ensuring rapid restoration of services to minimise downtime
- Supporting minor projects, electrical upgrades, and infrastructure improvements within the data centre
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, following site procedures, industry standards, and compliance requirements
- Maintaining accurate maintenance logs, documentation, and reporting in line with site processes
- Participating in an on-call rota to support 24/7 critical operations
What we’re looking for:
- Experience working in critical infrastructure - data centres etc.
- Strong understanding of electrical fault finding, diagnostics, and repair on critical plant and power systems
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an electrical discipline
