Monday - Friday - Day Shift - 8AM - 5PM
We’re looking for an experienced Fabrication Workshop Manager to take ownership of a busy, multi-discipline engineering workshop within a forward-thinking industrial manufacturing environment. You’ll lead a skilled workshop team covering fabrication, machining, sheet metal, fitting and engineering stores. Working closely with senior leadership and design teams, you’ll plan workloads, manage resources and ensure projects move smoothly from concept through to manufacture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a multi-skilled engineering workshop team
- Plan and prioritise manufacturing schedules to meet operational demands
- Ensure production targets are achieved on time, within budget and to specification
- Support and guide team leaders across different engineering functions
- Champion health & safety, ensuring full compliance with legislation and internal standards
- Promote a proactive, safety-first culture throughout the workshop
- Oversee engineering stores to ensure materials and components are available when required
- Drive team engagement through regular communication, reviews and skills development
- Work collaboratively with design and management teams to improve processes and outcomes
Key Requirements:
- Welding and Fabrication experience
- Proven experience managing a fabrication, engineering or manufacturing workshop
- Strong background in heavy or industrial engineering disciplines
- Experience background within - Recycling & Waste, Renewable Energy, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Industrial manufacturing plant
- Confident leading diverse technical teams
- Highly organised with excellent planning and problem-solving skills
- Motivated, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
