We are working with a well-established renewable energy business operating multiple anaerobic digestion plants, who are now seeking to appoint an experienced and commercially driven general manager. This is a high-impact senior leadership role offering the opportunity to take full operational control of multiple strategically important AD facilities during a key period of operational growth and performance improvement.

Reporting directly to the business owners, the successful candidate will play a central role in shaping operational strategy, driving plant efficiency, increasing gas output, reducing operational costs, and improving the overall profitability of the business.

The position requires a hands-on operational leader with a strong technical understanding of anaerobic digestion, biological optimisation, maintenance management, and process efficiency. This is not a corporate oversight role — the business is looking for someone capable of being fully immersed in plant operations, making decisive operational improvements, leading site teams, and delivering measurable performance gains across both plants.

  • Lead the full day-to-day operation of multiple anaerobic digestion plants
  • Drive improvements in gas production, efficiency, uptime, and overall performance
