Due to continued growth within the renewable energy and environmental sector, we are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer.
About the Role
This position supports maintenance, fault diagnosis, plant upgrades and reactive works across landfill gas sites, anaerobic digestion, CHP and Biogas utilisation systems throughout the UK.
Responsibilities
- Servicing, maintenance and fault-finding on biogas plant and associated equipment
- Working on gas boosters, compressors, flare systems, gas storage systems, digesters, pipework and safety devices
- Maintaining heat exchangers, boilers and final gas use equipment
- Carrying out gas and nitrogen purging operations as part of a trained team
- Supporting installation and commissioning of new plant when required
- Participating in an out-of-hours call-out rota for breakdown response
- Working safely within confined spaces using appropriate escape sets and fall arrest equipment
- Ensuring all work complies with current Health & Safety legislation, RAMS and site procedures
- Recording equipment data to support spare parts ordering
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years' experience in commercial or industrial gas installations - HVAC / Cooling Systems / Air Conditioning
- Experience within biogas, landfill gas, anaerobic digestion or water industry environments preferred
- Gas Safe qualifications
- OFTEC certifications
- Confined space trained
- Ability to diagnose faults across mechanical plant and pipework systems
