About the Role: We are a leading UK-based solar company supporting the clean energy transition. Due to continued portfolio growth, we are seeking a skilled Solar PV Technician to support the operation and maintenance of utility-scale solar sites. As a Solar PV Technician, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance of large-scale ground-mounted solar farms. You will play a key role in ensuring maximum plant availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on utility-scale solar PV systems
  • Fault finding and diagnostics on inverters, transformers, LV/HV systems
  • Testing and inspection (AC/DC systems)
  • Thermographic inspections and string testing
  • Monitoring plant performance and responding to alarms
  • Completing detailed service reports and maintaining accurate records
  • Supporting HV switching operations (where authorised)
  • Ensuring full compliance with UK HSE and electrical safety standards

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Engineering
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Proven experience working on utility-scale solar PV sites
  • Strong fault-finding ability on inverters and AC/DC systems
