We are seeking a skilled Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer to join clients growing engineering team. You will play a key role in the design, development, installation, and maintenance of EC&I systems across plant projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out maintenance, fault finding, and repair of electrical, control, and instrumentation systems
  • Maintain and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, DCS, SCADA systems, drives, and sensors
  • PLC programming and fault-finding experience specifically with Siemens systems
  • Calibrate and maintain field instrumentation including pressure, temperature, flow, and level devices
  • Support installation, commissioning, upgrades, and plant improvement projects
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance and support plant outages
  • Diagnose faults using technical drawings and test equipment
  • Maintain electrical drawings, calibration records, and technical documentation
  • Ensure compliance with site safety rules, permit systems, UK electrical standards, and machinery safety regulations

Key Responsibilities – Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process efficiency improvements across manufacturing operations
  • Lead continuous improvement projects using lean methodologies
  • Analyse process data, downtime trends, and KPIs to improve reliability and productivity
  • Collaborate closely with production, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams
  • Support initiatives to improve product quality, operational efficiency, and plant performance

About You:

  • Qualified in Electrical Engineering, Control & Instrumentation, Mechatronics or similar
  • Experienced within Power Generation, Heavy Industrial, Recycling, Energy from Waste, Manufacturing, FMCG industries
  • Strong understanding of PLCs, instrumentation and control systems
  • Skilled in electrical fault finding, diagnostics and preventative maintenance
