We are recruiting for a Power Generation Engineer to join a growing power generation business operating across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer or supervisor with experience in Landfill Gas, CHP, Gas Engines, Peaking Plants, CHP or Power Generation looking to progress into a hands-on leadership-focused operational role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the day-to-day operation and maintenance of gas plants, peaking plants, CHP systems, gas engines, and associated generation assets.
  • Lead and support Area Technicians across multiple operational sites.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown response on mechanical and electrical plant equipment.
  • Ensure maximum plant availability, electrical production, and operational efficiency.
  • Support out-of-hours operations and provide emergency call-out cover when required.
  • Oversee maintenance activities, contractor management, and health & safety compliance across sites.
  • Ensure compliance with O&M agreements, environmental permits, electrical agreements, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, manage outstanding jobs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with commissioning activities and operational handovers of new generation assets.
