We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced AD Plant Operator looking to progress in their career, overseeing the day-to-day operations of an anaerobic digestion facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant running of the plant, delivering optimal biogas production, managing operations team, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise all aspects of plant operations, maintenance, and performance.
  • Monitor and optimise feedstock inputs, biogas yield, and digestate quality.
  • Ensure strict compliance with environmental permits, HSE regulations, and company standards.
  • Lead and develop a skilled team of technicians and operators.
  • Coordinate plant maintenance schedules and liaise with contractors and suppliers.
  • Analyse plant data and prepare operational reports.
  • Drive process improvement and cost-efficiency initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • Health and Safety Qualifications – NEBOSH / IOSH / AP
  • Proven experience working within an industrial process environment – Biogas, Anaerobic Digestion, Recycling, Energy From Waste, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Power Generation
  • WAMITAB certification or equivalent (or willingness to attain)
  • Experience with SCADA/PLC systems and maintenance planning software
  • In depth technical engineering knowledge within mechanical or electrical disciplines
