- Mechanical Engineer Job Responsibilities
- Provideadvancedtechnical support tovarious teams including (but not limited to) the Operations, Sales, Engineering teams.
- Contribute and providetechnicalon-site and off-site support to the R&D effort of the business.
- Support the M&E services’ digital-twin modellingprojects all the way from conceptualising to delivery.
- Manage and deliversoftware-led Data Centrecooling optimisationprojects.
- Carry out feasibility surveys, assessmentsand produce reports.
- Attend design team and/or client team meetings, ifrequired.
- Carry out risk assessments and value engineering.
- Undertake duties andcomply withall the company’s Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Procedures.
- Qualified building services/Mechanicalengineerpreferablyspecialised in data centre cooling systemsand controlswith a goodunderstanding of critical infrastructure operations.
- Advance knowledgeand experience withdesign andoptimalimplementation of Hydronic systems
- Membership in ASHRAE and/or CIBSE, while having orworking towardschartership
- 5+ yearsmechanical or thermalengineeringexperiencepreferablygained workingin Data Centreseither in a design or operational capacity.
- Strongtechnical competency in HVACtechnologiesformission critical facilities.
- Willingness towork onsite acrossthe UK and occasional non-UK sitesin continental EUand US.
- Good organisational skills and able to work on multiple projects at any one time
- Excellentwritten and verbal skills and able to effectivelycommunicatewith Customers, Directorsandother Colleagues
- Strong computer skills andgoodworking knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Exceland Power Point
- Clean Full UKdriving licence
- Knowledge of critical environment software technologies (BMS, SNMP, BEMS, Modbus etc.)
- Experience usingany3D software packages, this could include professional CFD, CADand other BIMsystems
- Awareness of energy saving techniques and methodologiesusedin critical environments
- Any business development skills and ability to generateadditionalrevenues
