My client specialise in the running of luxury hotels, currently operating 16 hotels, ranging from 2 airport ‘express’ to a selection of high specification hotels in Central London. Focused on providing an exceptional stay for their guests, they have a 12 person procurement team that sources all food, products, equipment and services for the group.
The Role:
This purpose of the role is to support all strategic sourcing activities including tender execution and supplier negotiations, contract implementation, supplier relationship management, contractual compliance and risk mitigation for the Fixtures, Fittings and Operational Spend Equipment categories, as well as any other categories to be agreed by the Group Head of Procurement from time to time. This role will report directly into the Category Manager and will play a key role in supporting the business to deliver maximum value and financial returns across the operations, and ensuring they are sustainable. The Group are actively engaged in the marketplace, resulting in new development concepts and hotels to improve guest satisfaction. This role will be at the forefront of supporting the development.
The Candidate:
- Educated to degree standard or equivalent and actively pursuing CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) qualification to support their ongoing commercial development.
- Experience of working in a procurement department in a hospitality or retail environment, ideally sourcing spend in non-food environment.
- Highly motivated individual with the ability to connect and work with people at all leadership levels.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where you can juggle multiple responsibilities.
- A good understanding of supplier and category management and analytical capabilities.
- Strong communicator, proactive, self-starter and independent worker.
