We\’re looking to recruit a Site Engineer to join our team based in the Calvert Area. This role is initially on a freelance basis. This role is located just outside of Buckingham. Due to the remote location of the role, we ask that all candidates hold a full driving license.
The Site Engineer is responsible on site for other junior engineers and assists in the construction operations for the section of works.
You will be required to liaise with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials to carry out M&E works activities to the required standards, programme and budget.
You will be responsible for work with the other team members of the setting out team and be responsible for the performance and development M&E Sub-Contractors and resolving technical problems on site in liaison with the senior team and Sub-Agent. Specification and coordination of varied contractors and time frame to ensure smooth delivery in a \’just in time\’ fashion.
Ensuring that the team have all current information and resources required to carry out their duties, you will be required to assist with the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans and contribute to financial forecasting.
About You
- HNC/Degree (Construction/M&E related) or equivalent
- You must hold a CSCS – White, White-Yellow, Red – Experienced, Black – Manager or Gold – Supervisor
- Previous experience in structures and/or quality, handover and completions
- Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills
- You must hold a driving license and have access to a vehicle
