About The Role
EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. EKFB are recruiting for a Package Manager to join our team based in Milton Keynes. The RW Package Manager will be responsible for managing relationships with EKFB and key Routewide (RW) suppliers for the manufacturing, delivery and installation of products, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality materials, and supporting our commitment to excellence.
In this role, you will provide a central point of contact within EKFB organisation and between EKFB Projects and Key Suppliers. Ensure a cross-functional coordination with internal EKFB delivery teams, including but not limited to quality, engineering assurance, procurement, production, and logistics, to align supplier capabilities with business needs. You will reconciliate programme inputs/needs from the sections to provide an operational RW schedule/programme to the suppliers and ensure regular RW progress meetings with the suppliers.
Part of this role is to identify clashes/nodes/peak between sections, suggest alternatives/priorities to mitigate them with best for programme approach and consolidate supplier section outputs to RW level and report to EKFB and SLT on performance. You will ensure knowledge sharing/good practice/feedback between sections. You will develop improvements and efficiencies with best for programme approach and also develop and maintain strong relationships with the supplier to ensure a consistent supply of quality materials. You will monitor supplier performance through KPIs, ensuring they meet our quality, delivery, and service standards and conduct regular audits and assessments of supplier operations to identify areas for improvement.
In addition, you will resolve supplier-related issues and disputes in a timely manner to minimize operational disruptions. You will stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and supplier innovations to drive strategic sourcing decisions. You will monitor, coordinate and manage logistics in accordance with the Contractors requirements and address supplier claims and support Cost Variation Reconciliation and strategy with the Commercial Team. You will also monitor, coordinate and manage quality control and progressive assurance in accordance with the Contractors requirements.

- Experience in package, supplier or supply chain management within major infrastructure, civil engineering, rail or highways projects.
- Proven ability to manage multiple suppliers and coordinate complex delivery programmes.
- Good understanding of programme planning, logistics and supplier performance management.
- Knowledge of quality assurance, supplier audits and continuous improvement processes.
- Commercial awareness, including claims, change control and variation management.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical and risk management capabilities.
- Collaborative and proactive approach to project delivery.
- Desirable:
- Experience working on HS2, EKFB or similar major infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing routewide or multidisciplinary work packages.
- Knowledge of NEC contracts and major project commercial processes.
- Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Professional membership or working towards accreditation.
