All four of our partners (Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial and BAM) bring specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects. We’re recruiting for a Logistics Operations Coordinator to join our Routewide team based in Bicester.
As an Operational Support Control Room Operator, you will monitor and intervene to minimise delays and disruption across Areas C2 and C3 caused by problems originating from the road network and areas that fall within the management of Operational Support.
About The Role
In this role, you will ensure that the Logistics and Security strategy is adhered to and provide guidance on all areas. You will receive, contact and coordinate communications between all stakeholders to ensure that all are informed and are receiving accurate and timely information. The role will also manage movement of vehicles to and from the Contractor's Working Areas using bespoke systems developed within the business. Part of this role is to coordinate resources such as breakdown recovery and road cleaning services to ensure minimal disruption on construction activities and in ensuring legislation is adhered to. You will continuously monitor the UK Road Network by obtaining and reviewing information from multiple sources so that appropriate action can be taken. You will assist in the development of effective response plans from the correct operating procedure for incidents, communicating and response coordination. You will also collaborate with Subcontractors and other stakeholders to develop the most efficient, effective and sympathetic logistics solutions to support the scheme. In addition, you will ensure the business complies with regulations and update policies and processes when required and maintain records, proving that the vehicle fleet is compliant with regulations. You will provide advice and guidance to peers and operators on logistics issues and improve the operational performance of the Logistics and Security team whilst minimizing the operational downtime. You will also implement, maintain and develop policies and processes to ensure the Logistics and Security team is effective and efficient whilst concurrently educating staff with industry concepts, practices and procedures.
