About The Role

Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial and BAM (EKFB) are proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. We are looking to recruit an Ecology Manager to join the North Chilterns to Aylesbury (NC2A) area. This role is based around the Aylesbury area, and we ask that applicants hold a full driving license due to the remote location of the role.

You will be responsible for the management of Ecology works across a section of works, you will also work collaboratively with our other sections Ecology Teams and the Routewide Ecology team including the license holders. In this role you will develop and implement solutions to meet legal requirements, providing specialist input to EKFB management system arrangements. An important part of this role will require you to produce accurate and concise scheme documentation and reports. You will also manage key stakeholder relationships including the client and consent granting bodies. Additionally, you will programme site surveys, watch briefs and supervise specialist contractors. You will have an input into scoping and assessments for large scale improvements. You will be required to undertake desk studies and carry out specialist ecological surveys and assessments, including phase 1 and protected species. We expect you to keep up to date with new environmental policies and legislation and provide training and awareness briefing to colleagues and the supply chain.

  • Relevant degree and/or experience of ecology in the construction industry
  • Experience of working with protected species
  • Must hold licenses such as Bat and GCN
  • Experience of managing a team of Ecologists or specialist suppliers
  • Knowledge of Civil Engineering projects is desirable
  • Hold a full driving license
